Reasons We Love To Run

We thought we'd share a few of our thoughts about routine and exercise as it has become part of the driving force behind running a small business and staying creative with it. Something that I realised quite soon after making design into a career is that you can't force a good idea, you can however coax it out and I do all my best designing and problem solving when I run.

Here are four reasons why we love to run...

HAPPINESS \ Starting the day with a short run enhances the way we work and helps to clear the head before a busy day at the studio. Countless studies have shown that running reduces stress, anxiety and depression. Like most physical exercise, it helps to make you feel better in the short and long term.

DISCOVERY \ Get to know your surroundings, you can discover hidden parts of your local area your never knew existed - when you find a quiet corner in London it's a wonderful feeling!

STRENGTH \ Feeling strong physically leads to us feeling strong mentally too. Sometimes the to-do list seems endless and it doesn't feel good to start the day overwhelmed by jobs. Running gives you the strength and confidence to tackle daily tasks calmly and methodically.

SCENERY \ Spending time outdoors all year round means you feel more at one with nature and the changing seasons. Watching the world go by is something that you quickly realise you should always make time for.
